CK On the Edge is proud to announce a summer workshop opportunity for children ages 6 – 17 who are interested in working in the television or film industry. Vancouver actress and Chatham-Kent native Autumn Bri, will show them how and share her resources with parents.
FOR ALL LEVELS OF ACTORS!
Acting for kids is all about having fun, and that’s the easy part. Showing a child how to be confident and be themselves is what this class is all about! The trick is that young actors also need to be able to slate, listen, avoid fidgeting, follow basic directions, and make sure their work is visible on camera. Students spend the week on their feet doing warm-ups, exercises, audition technique, as well as film/tv and commercial scenes. Students work on scenes to perform for “Showcase Night” (last day of the camp) for their parents. Each child will receive a DVD of their scenes done throughout the week and parents will receive resources about how to get your child started in the industry.
Instructor:
Autumn Bri is a talented young actress/model born in Chatham but raised between Windsor & Toronto. At the age of 9 she made an appearance in her older brother’s music video, which was her first introduction to the camera and taking directions.
In August 2007, Autumn moved from Ontario to Vancouver, BC, and since then Autumn has rang up a list of acting credits in film and on television including ‘Outcast’, ‘Scare Tactics’, ‘I Love You Beth Cooper’, ‘Another Cinderella Story’, ‘Gym Teacher: The Movie’, and ‘Supernatural’.
